Saturday’s Kid Zone at the Fairgrounds
More than 100 children were entertained at the Rotary station. Activities at the Rotary hay bale location were tot toys, pet rick painting, fishing metallic fish. Treats were Rockets, suckers, freezies and complimentary ice cold water. Rotary’s Kid Zone activity station was organized and supervised by Darlene Hunter. Darlene’s family assisted as volunteers to help the kids have fun and to keep them safe.
Some additional background from the Festival Director:
New participants Alliston Rotary had so much going on in their hay corral for the kids, and Landmark Bus Lines had the kids painting the bus. I am not sure who had more paint on them. the Bus or the Child or the parent trying to help! Additional organizations that returned were The Alliston Human Society, The New Tecumseth Library, Kiwanis Club, and Matthews House Hospice, It was a great event, and thank you to all the volunteers that came out to help. We had Bubba the Clown and Jady Face Painting and Glitter tattoos also in this area. Thank you to each of these groups for coming out and setting up fun for the kids, keeping them smiling, and creating happy memories for the kids.
