During Rotary Club of Alliston's successful 2023 Calendar/Lottery project at the end of 2022, we raised the funds for the $2,646 grant requested by the Community Living Association of South Simcoe.
The proceeds were released to us a few days ago and we presented a cheque on 24 May to Heather Barzo and Barb Barta of CLASS. At left is John McFarland, who led the Calendar/Lottery project, and on the right is Patricia Middlebrook, club president.
The funds will be used to purchase a platform swing, which is a great tool for CLASS’ clients who are wheelchair-bound to develop motor skills. The device is also therapeutic and calming.
